These are 1/4 inch thick (they will not 'free stand' without prop). Prop for standing upright is included, as pictured.
Heights will vary with the number of characters in the name. Short names (4-5 characters will be tall). -Height is also determined by any hanging letters in your name such as y,j,p,q, etc.
If you have a long last name 7-8+ characters we do recommend the larger sizes.
-If you choose, no paint - item is sanded, wood is a light maple wood color.
*Notes*-This is made from real maple wood, in some cases (depending on color as well) where a wood knot or wood grain may be visible, this is not mean defective, it's simply a natural occurrence in the wood.
